French luxury leather goods manufacturer Hermès set up its atelier in Pantin, a suburban town just outside of Paris, in 1992. In just over 30 years, it has considerably expanded its presence, transforming the small municipality into 'Hermès City'.
On a 3,500 m² plot of land in Pantin, a town on the outskirts of Paris, stands a four-floor building that since 2021 has been under construction, much to the local community's chagrin. Formerly a rice storage depot, for a time the building was leased by French film director Luc Besson
