A year after the wealth manager's death, French and Swiss judicial authorities are still struggling to unravel the complex financial transactions he used to defraud his many clients, including Hermès heir Nicolas Puech. Some of his schemes were dressed up as cultural initiatives, taking advantage of the extensive network Freymond had built up within the historic restoration sector.
