While it awaits the opening of its Paris megastore on Rue St Honoré, the Kering group's flagship brand continues to rely on its Avenue Montaigne store, for which it pays a remarkably low rent. But the owners of the building, one of the best spots in Paris's Golden Triangle, are at each other's throats. The family feud could trigger a rent hike for Gucci, at a time when Kering is battling to keep its costs down, especially in real estate.
The Gucci boutique, along with the nearby Dior space, is among the largest luxury stores in the Paris Triangle d'Or. Located on the corner of Avenue Montaigne and the Rond-Point des Champs-Elysées, it has been one of the brand's two flagship stores in France for 20 years and occupies
