Alexandre Benais, the Bettencourt-Meyers' unassuming financial supremo
Since it was set up a decade ago, the Bettencourt-Meyers' family office has been run by the same person, who used to be a managing partner at Lazard. Managing and reinvesting the dividends that L'Oréal pays out to its family shareholder, Benais also quietly joined the board of the cosmetics giant last year.
