As a distributor of European luxury brands in the Gulf, the Emirati businessman Abdulkader Sankari has exploited for half a decade the Balmain men's brand in the Gulf. This is much to the chagrin of the Mayhoola holding company owned by Qatar's ruling family, which bought Balmain and is seeking to recover the rights to men's clothing.
