In taking out a majority shareholding in the high-end restaurant portfolio of British entrepreneur Richard Caring (Glitz, 19/03/26), Tahnoon bin Zayed al-Nahyan acquired a stake in some of the best-known names in the high-end restaurant business. Caring, who has been dubbed the "King of Mayfair", owns not only Le Caprice and The Ivy restaurants, but also the highly select London club Annabel's and Harry's Bar.
