Although much less influential than the Chalhoub group owned by the family of the same name, a long-standing partner of Dior in the Middle East, the Paris Group owned by the Emirati Sankari family nevertheless has a significant advantage over its competitors. The group, which also distributes Pierre Cardin in the region, has for more than 20 years held the rights to operate the Balmain brand in the Middle East.
