Kering's 'independent' director Serge Weinberg has longstanding company ties

Despite Kering posting some poor results of late, its management team has proved remarkably resistant to change. At its AGM on 24 April, it extended the term of ex-BNP Paribas boss Baudouin Protis, who has been sitting on its board since 1998. Next year, the term of another Pinault veteran, Serge Weinberg, is due to end. He is designated as an independent director, although his firm manages some of the group's assets and he is a friend of the Pinault family. [...]
