At the cafés lining Rue Drouot in Paris's 9th arrondissement, the rumour mill had been churning since the spring: Tajan, which turns 30 this year, was up for sale. Earlier this month, the auction house finally found a buyer. Édouard Challemel du Rozier, founder of Bail Art, has taken over from Rodica Seward, the socialite who had run Tajan since 2003.
