From 17 February onwards, all online sales platforms will have to comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA), a European directive designed to regulate the sale of counterfeit goods online. The implementation of the new regulation puts luxury resale specialists, which for the most part sell via the internet, directly in the firing line. They have thus far been partially protected by their status as so-called content hosts, but will now have to take full responsibility for what is sold on their sites.
